Course outline: The course aims to promote comprehensive knowledge in the field of project and investment management, and to provide an opportunity to develop new project management skills during practical assignments, exercises, and business games. During the course, students will develop key project management decisions affecting all stages of the project management process – from the first idea until the final state of development. One of the major course objectives is to give participants an opportunity to make managerial decisions related to hypothetical model based on recommendations offered by the best Western and Russian practices. The course will also allow participants to systematize and advance their knowledge in applied methods of investment management, to link theory with practice, to improve professional skills, and to share experience. The course is in line with the wide-known project management standard PMI PMBoK 2002, and provides recommendations on how to apply this standard in Russian companies.
